URBAN APIARY IN SOHO

Nature’s Most
Golden
Collaboration

From rooftop hives to spa rituals, The Dominick’s Italian honeybee program deepens the intersection of sustainability, creativity, and luxury. In partnership with Bee Haven Bees, our commitment to local ecology and conscious hospitality comes to life through a series of refined experiences and artistic collaborations; each one as thoughtful as it is flavorful.

MISSION A Higher-Altitude
Approach to
Sustainability

What began as a rooftop sustainability effort has blossomed into a signature of our ethos. With Bee Haven Bees, a local apiary specializing in Italian bees, The Dominick maintains a thriving colony ranging from 30,000 to over 70,000 pollinators, depending on the season. Twice a year, we harvest between 60 and 80 pounds of honey, produced just stories above the streets of SoHo.

But this initiative is about more than honey.

MISSION A Higher-Altitude
Approach to
Sustainability

It’s about stewardship. It’s about integrating conscious practices into the guest experience without compromising on sophistication or style. This partnership supports vital pollinator populations, reduces environmental waste, and contributes to our Green Seal-certified sustainability program, which also includes energy-efficient systems and food-waste diversion.

You’ll find our honey in moments both indulgent and unexpected: in signature spa treatments, in culinary offerings across the hotel, and in bespoke design details that reflect The Dominick’s passion for artistry and environmental intelligence.

WELLNESS

Available exclusively at Sisley Spa, this 90-minute treatment begins with a full-body honey mask derived from our rooftop harvest. Followed by a targeted scalp massage and a deeply hydrating body ritual, the experience leaves skin silken, senses revived, and the spirit recalibrated.

FOOD & DRINK

From the Very Bee-rry Smoothie and raw honey parfait at Mezzanine to cocktails like the Bee Sting and Honey & Hellfire at El Ta’Koy, our chefs and mixologists use The Dominick’s signature harvest to infuse dishes with nuance and natural sweetness. Menus rotate seasonally and highlight local, responsible ingredients.

DESIGN COLLABORATION

What started as a final drip in our Street Art Suite has become the visual signature of our honey jars. Artist P. Paul Richard—known for his irreverent style and NYC-rooted commentary—has created a custom bee drip label design. Equal parts bold and ironic, the artwork captures the creativity at the heart of this program. Limited-edition jars are available through the hotel, with proceeds supporting ongoing pollinator health.
