The Dominick Appoints Tina Santana as Spa Director

(NEW YORK, NY – April 2019) Situated where SoHo meets Tribeca and the West Village, The Dominick, a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection, announces the appointment of Tina Santana as Spa Director. Santana will oversee the transformation of the spa into the first BABOR Signature Spa in the country, which will launch in April 2019.

In her position, Santana will manage operations to provide customized and tailored services for spa guests. A veteran in the wellness industry, Santana previously served as the General Manager at Equinox Bryant Park, and the Group and Events Manager at The Setai Club and Spa Wall Street. In both roles, Santana developed an astute understanding of the sales and marketing space for spas by fostering relationships with the local community and repeat guests, something she strives to continue at The Dominick.

John Varvatos Designs Exclusive "Made to Measure" Uniforms for The Dominick, SoHo’s Only Five-Diamond Hotel

(NEW YORK, NY – March, 2019)The Dominick, a luxury hotel located at the intersection of SoHo, TriBeCa, and the West Village, debuts its new uniform collection for hotel associates created by world-renowned fashion brand, John Varvatos.

As part of the launch of the Made to Measure program by John Varvatos Star USA Signature Tailored, the brand designed these uniforms exclusively for the Dominick hotel. The attire captures the minimalistic style of the hotel's design aesthetic, and will be seen on all hotel associates beginning this month. The collaboration between The Dominick and John Varvatos exemplifies both brands’ commitment to luxury.

The wardrobe will be varying combinations of an electric blue wool suit and bird’s-eye vest. The outfits are constructed with fine Italian fabrics, lined with a deep red hue, and will include Signature Tailored casted buttons in an antique finish. Finishing the look will be white cotton shirts and silk ties. The combination of the uniform for each staff member will be delineated by their roles onsite, including doormen, front desk associates, bellmen, and the in-room dining and mini bar teams.

The Dominick Hotel Appoints Dynamic Experts to its Expanding Sales Team

(NEW YORK, NY – June 20, 2018) Perfectly situated between New York City’s West Village and TriBeCa neighborhoods, The Dominick continues to build momentum following its recent rebranding with the appointment of two additions to its sales leadership team. The independent hotel announces Nico Fournier as Director of MICE & Travel Industry Sales International, and Ece Bayram as Travel Industry Sales Manager.

As the Director of MICE & Travel Industry Sales International, Nico Fournier will oversee relationships with international leisure consortia accounts, the wholesale market, as well as specialized industries within the group segment. A veteran in sales within the luxury hotel realm, Fournier previously served as the Assistant Director of Sales at The Surrey, a Relais & Châteaux property in New York and the Global Account Director at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in London. In both roles, Fournier developed an astute understanding of the sales and marketing space by fostering relationships with international consortias such as American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts, Virtuoso and Traveller Made. He also exceeded revenue growth, crafted sales strategies, and raised consumer awareness for both properties. Prior to these positions, Fournier leveraged knowledge of his native Canada to enhance travel industry sales while working for the country’s tourist board in London.

With a background in Five-Star luxury hotels, Ece Bayram’s new role as Travel Industry Sales Manager will have her working closely with the luxury leisure consortias based in the United States and Canada, such as American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, Virtuoso, Signature and more. Until recently, Bayram served as Vice President of A2B Travel New York, where she increased leisure and corporate revenue in the North and South American, Canadian, European and Middle Eastern markets. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Business Management in Istanbul, Turkey, Bayram honed her skills at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, working in sales, public relations, marketing and guest services. She relocated to New York to further develop her expertise at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and later as the Travel Industry & International Sales Manager at The New York Palace Hotel. There, she managed leisure accounts and led the development of Manhattan’s 25 top wholesale accounts.

The Dominick Appoints New General Manager Dant Hirsch

Food from Executive Chef John Creger highlights Spring & Varick as he serves playful and interactive dishes incorporating fresh, seasonal and local ingredients.
